Privacy Policy

Clover Trials, Inc. (“Clover”, “we”, “us”) operates a platform that matches people with clinical trials. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Clover you agree to the practices described here.

We collect information you give us and information generated by your use of the platform:

• Account details: name, email address and password (stored hashed).
• Health profile: age, sex, location, conditions, medications and study preferences you choose to share.
• Activity: trials you save, applications you submit, and messages you send.
• Device and usage data: browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected via cookies and similar technologies.

• To match you with relevant clinical trials.
• To connect you with research sites when you apply.
• To track your applications and send alerts you’ve asked for.
• To improve the platform and keep it secure.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We share your health profile with a research site only when you apply to one of its studies. We share limited data with service providers that host and secure the platform, under contracts that restrict their use of it. We disclose information when required by law.

We never sell your personal or health information, and we never share it for third-party marketing.

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging and regular security reviews. Health information is handled in accordance with HIPAA. See our HIPAA Compliance page for details. No system is perfectly secure, and we’ll notify you promptly if a breach affects your data.

• Access, correct or download a copy of your data from your dashboard.
• Delete your account and data at any time from Settings.
• Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any message.
• Residents of California and other states may have additional rights; email privacy@clovertrials.com to exercise them.

We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account we remove your profile within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

Clover is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Studies that enroll minors require a parent or guardian to create the account and manage participation.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes are announced on the platform and the “Last updated” date is revised.
